Bruce Peebles, High Street, Airdrie (discusses engineering); William O. Dalgleish, Royal Hotel (discusses business); J. B. Johnstone, Nairn (discusses possible lodgings for PC): D Cruickshank, Bedford Place, Southampton (mentions Dens Works School); Charles Mackie [author of MS 11/5/14] (asks for help to be admitted to Edinburgh Infirmary and recalls PC’s father); Assessed taxes; James Paterson, HMS Ariadne, Plymouth (agrees to forward a few yards of sail cloth); William Methven, Dundee (refers to subscription debt of the Congregational Union); Rachel Spence, Mile End terrace [Glasgow?]; (thanks PC, her Uncle, for his Christmas gift).
