Dockyard, Portsmouth (family and seasonal news, published and proposed articles, engineering matters, ship repairs and his failure to get the job at the Woolwich Arsenal; arrival of the ‘young Baxter’ from Lille, France (with ‘fancy’ shirts), poor health of his son and PC’s continued incapacity and consequent depression); D.
