Administrative / Biographical History
British International Cellars was registered in 1932 as a subsidiary of the Aylesbury Wine Company Ltd which had been incorporated in 1928. Its purpose was mainly to sell British wines, whilst the Aylesbury Wine Company handled imported wines, spirits and liqueurs. The capital was subscribed by the Aylesbury Wine Company Ltd and the shares held by nominees.
