Administrative / Biographical History
Perth Development Plan was submitted to the Secretary of State for Scotland in October 1952 and approved in December 1953. In the following decades it was subject to many amendments, but was not comprehensively reviewed until the late 1960s. It is thought that the plans described here relate to that review, as they follow a similar arrangement to the original Development Plan maps (see PE/P/477, 247-264), although none are signed or dated. Also see PE/P/402-447 for further maps relating to the Development Plan Review.
The Development Plan comprises a Written Statement and this set of accompanying maps. Copies of the Written Statement have also been deposited in the archive, but are not yet catalogued - please ask archive staff if you wish to consult them.
