Letter from John Pullar & Sons, Perth to William MacLeish, clerk to the police commissioners, Perth acknowledging receipt of £5 "as a gratuity from the insurance coys for services rendered by our Fire Brigade on the occasion of the fire at City Mills on 6th December last", 1 February 1882.
Letter from Major Aitken, Perth to [William MacLeish], Perth acknowledging receipt of money from town council for damaged uniforms and £5 from insurance companies for the N.C.O.s and men who fought the fire at the City Mills, 3 February 1882.
Letter from George Kyd, Perth to William MacLeish, Perth relating to the removal of dung from the North Inch. Claims that Baillie Gow holds a grudge against the bowling club because he was "ignominiously blackballed" on applying for membership, 11 February 1882.
