• Scope and Content

  Beaten malleable iron triangular shaped metal fragment 7 x 5 cms x 2 mm thick with indication of double tang (possibly for binding to a handle). Found in a ditch near Dunkeld. Pitted and worn but sound condition. Origin, use & date not known. Later found by Perth Museum, to be steel of no great antiquity, possibly part of a trowel or similar. See letter.
