Administrative / Biographical History
Edinburgh Hebrew Congregation dates back to the first synagogue in Scotland about 1816. Scotland's oldest Jewish congregation is now based in the present synagogue, in Salisbury Road (opened 1932), with its burial ground in Piershill Cemetery.
