Administrative / Biographical History
Betsy I Skea was born and brought up in Nortwa, Sanday, later moving to Kirkwall. She recorded many old Sanday stories in her book 'Island Images', (published by The Orkney Press, Kirkwall, 1981). She died on 2 July 1994 aged 84 and the papers listed below were deposited then at her and her husband's request by W.P.L. Thomson, apart from items 10/1-4 which were deposited in August 2002
