Scope and Content
Correspondence (including telephone memoranda), notes and papers. In alphabetical order by name of the enquirer (affected individual, family member, social worker, asbestos activist, organisation) or name mentioned in press coverage.
Contains detailed medical and legal information, also ephemera including Christmas cards and correspondence relating to donations. Includes copies of death certificates. Also photocopies of literature sent.
Unlike the earlier Q-files series, includes also enquiries from students in health & safety-related fields, concerned members of the public in general (and so forth). Prior to c.2000, these had been handled in a separate series, listed unter OEDA/C/1/4.
