• Scope and Content

  Scottish Musicians Home and Orphanage Fund founded in 1918. In 1953 the fund became known as the Scottish Musicians' Benevolent Fund. The ultimate aim of the fund was to establish a convalescent home and orphanage but in the first instance the fund was used to provide grants to musicians recovering from illness and to make grants to any dependents.
