• Scope and Content

  Unlabelled account book with "Pro-Forma" written at the top of the first page. Contains handwritten account entries for individual ship voyages predominantly for the company's emerging Ben Line voyages in the Far East but also at least one Leith and St. Petersburg Shipping Co (Petrograd Steamers) ship. Entries record month and year of voyage, ship name, gross tonnage, voyage route(s) and ports, freight and value, disbursements, coal burned, commissions, days at sea and in port, and calculations for earnings per day of voyage, 1890-1909.
