Scope and Content
Unlabelled account book that predominantly details expenses paid out to individuals for labour and maintenance during inward and outward voyages of four Leith and St Petersburg Shipping Co (Petrograd Steamers) ships between 1904 and 1916, ending when the Petrograd Steamers effectively was wound down. The volume also contains expenses occurred during voyages of approximately ten named ships likely chartered to Wm Thomson & Co between 1913 and 1921 that are not mentioned elsewhere in the company records, and also for approximately five Ben Line ships between 1914 and 1921. Further sporadic expenses are detailed for monies paid out to individuals and for work carried out on account of "dock plant".
