Scope and Content
A letter from Ian Maciver to a customer, accompanied by fabric samples and a 'tailoring brochure'. Also a print-out of the Facebook Messenger correspondence with the woman (Bex Taylor) who donated them to the HTA. They were received by the HTA on 25/11/16.
Letter is dated 25/4/62. He thanks Mrs Hewis (the donor's grandmother) for her enquiry and writes that he is enclosing 'some of our latest samples in stock' and 'our Tailoring Brochure'.
Fabric samples are in four groups, originally attached with split pins. Two groups have five samples, one has seven and one has eight. They are mostly dark in colour. Some are checked. Each individual sample is c.3.5 x 4.5cm.
The 'tailoring brochure' is a small four page card listing prices for the tailoring of various garments, and information.
