• Scope and Content

  Includes both accounts and balance sheets prepared for the company, as well as material for shareholders and annual general meetings, including director' reports and, in some cases, remarks by the chairman. From GB 248 UGD 042/3/4/10 onwards, "working papers" are also included, which include draft accounts and correspondence regarding accounts and meetings. There are also accounts and annual general meeting papers relating to Archibald Thomson, Black and Co from GB 248 UGD 042/3/4/9-GB 248 UGD42/3/4/42; and papers relating to J Lomax and Son (Bolton) Ltd, the Birkmyre Canvas Co.
