Scope and Content
This series contains case files arranged by subject by John Glaister (1892-1971) during his tenure as Regius Professor of the Department of Forensic Medicine and Science. These civil and criminal subject files contain documentation created as a result of the departmental position as medico-legal advisor to the crown, as well as private individuals or institutions exploiting the expertise of the members of departmental staff. Files are arranged alphabetically by subject, each subject containing a number of examples. Files contain a range of documents including post mortem reports, toxicology reports, draft reports, notes, photographs, indictments, depositions, correspondence, and newspaper clippings.
