Records of the businesses of Nicol Spence, Kirkwall, and Magnus Russell, Shapinsay,deposited by Edwin Eunson O.B.E., Newhallea, Glaitness Road, Kirkwall, August 1992. Nicol Spence and Son, Kirkwall, were ships agents and chandlers from 1867 to 1986. Mr. Eunson was proprietor of this firm from 1956 until his retirement from business in 1986. Magnus Russell was a firm of general merchants at Newhouse, Shapinsay. Magnus Russell was Mr. Eunson's grandfather.
