Minutes and meeting papers of the Diversity Panel of the Royal College of Nursing.
Administrative / Biographical History
The Panel was established in 2004 to monitor the implementation of the agreed RCN strategies around diversity and equality as they impact on the RCN's mission statement, its membership and the RCN in its role as an employer. Key responsibilities include receiving updates on progress towards meeting objectives within strategies and providing advice on further activity required to meet the objectives of the strategies and the RCN 2003-2008 Strategic Plan. The role of Diversity Champion has been created to facilitate this. The Diversity Champions act as leaders on equality and diversity issues.
The Panel is made up of 4 Council members, 1 member of Executive Team, the Diversity & Equalities Co-ordinator and an administrator. Staff attending include the Heads of HR, PND, Communications and Administration. First meeting took place on 28th July 2005.
Access Information
Open meeting papers of Council may be viewed. Closed meeting papers remain closed for ten years from 31st December of the year. Other restrictions include data protection and the review of information pertaining to legal cases. Staff may view all.
