Scope and Content
This archive consists of a minute book of the club 1919 - 1935. There are two cardboard folders of "Monthly News" booklets from 1956 - 1967. There are also two folders containing letters, photographs and other loose papers which appear to be drafts for a special jubilee booklet.
Administrative / Biographical History
Whitecraigs Hockey Club was formed on 23rd October 1919 at 149 St. Vincent Street, Glasgow. The team played their first year of matches in the then rural setting of the grass park of Rouken Glen Mansion House.
The club celebrated it's Jubilee Dinner at the MacDonald Hotel on 18th October 1969.

Custodial History
This archive was acquired by Eastwood District Libraries or East Renfrewshire Council's Community and Leisure Department some time prior to 2006. It was latterly stored in "the Bothy" at Eastwood Park. No further information on the archival history of this material is available. It is possible that this collection has been brought together artificially for the purposes of gathering information for the club's Jubilee.
