Administrative / Biographical History
Sometime in the late 19th century , John James Lang and James Vandalle Fulton formed a ship-owning partnership in Greenock, Inverclyde, Scotland, under the name Lang & Fulton . The firm was incorporated in 1909 as Lang & Fulton Ltd . The firm created many smaller limited liability subsidiary firms for the building of individual ships for the coastal trade and these companies were liquidated once the ships were sold on to other companies. Fulton & Lang Ltd entered into voluntary liquidation in 1924 .
