The University Management Group was established in 1987 to replace the Joint Policy Committee. Its remit was to formulate policy proposals for consideration by Court and Senate on any matter within their remit but especially the teaching, research and academic development of the University and the University budget, resource allocation priorities, physical development and employment. It was also responsible to Court and Senate for the implementation of policy laid down by them.
In 2006, it was renamed the University Management Committee.Access Information
