• Scope and Content

  This collection contains the books and photographs of Nurse E M Blaydes (nee Jefferies). This includes:

  Manual of the Guild of S. Barnabas for nurses, 1876;

  The Treasury of Devotion, a manual of prayer, 1909;

  Photographs, circa 1930. These show: Mrs E. M. Blaydes in uniform holding a baby; Children sitting on the front steps of a building in a tropical area where the sign reads "Mrs E.M. Blaydes (Qualified) Medical, Surgical and Obstetrical Nurse" and a postcard of a street scene [Poona, India], inscribed on the back "Cheshire married families travelling from Murree to Khanspur by Dandi. 1933".
