Scope and Content
The Scottish Allotment Scheme for the Unemployed was a venture run by a number of bodies and the Minutes appear under "Minutes of meeting of the Joint-Committee". Represented on the Joint Committee were both The Scottish National Union of Allotment Holders (later Scottish Allotments and Garden Society) and The Society of Friends Allotments Committee. The make up of these meetings were set out in the SASU Constitution; four members appointed by the Scottish National Union of Allotment Holders; four by the Society of Friends in Scotland; and one appointed by the Society of Friends Allotment Committee. The Minutes also include additional documents relevant to the specific meetings.
The Minutes from the Liaison Committee also appear here. This Committee was short lived, and concerned the Department of Agriculture, the Commissioner for Special Areas and the Joint-Committee.
