  Photograph depicts James Quinn, wearing a flat cap and standing amongst the beehives that he kept with fellow plotholder, John Clarke. Written in pencil on the back: "Mr Quinn in his allotment, other allotments in the background," and "Covanburn, 1940"; and stamped in purple ink: " Lanarkshire Press Picture, Hugh F. Dewar, 5 Lamb Street, Hamilton."
