Scope and Content
In the 1970s-1980s, there was an international human rights campaign to advocate for the rights of Jews in the Soviet Union to emigrate. Those who were denied permission were often called ‘Refuseniks.’ This collection contains press cuttings, correspondence, bulletins, photographs and campaign leaflets relating to the Glasgow branch of the 35s (the Women’s Campaign for Soviet Jewry), the Scottish Campaign, the Edinburgh Campaign and the Student Campaign.
