  Sortie plots for aerial photography of Scotland flown during the Second World War.

• Administrative / Biographical History

  Plots and prints were formerly held by M-Section of the Central Interpretation Unit (CIU). This was the CIU section responsible for aerial photography of the UK.

• Custodial History

  Created by the Royal Air Force. Transferred to the Scottish Office along with the aerial photography. Within the Scottish Office it was held by the Scottish Development Department. Within this department it was held by the entity variously known as the Air Photographs Unit. The collection was transferred to RCAHMS in 1993.
