Scope and Content
The volume has the Treasurer's accounts for October to September followed by an abstract of income and expenditure for the year, although there is a gap between 1867 and 1883 when the abstracts are not given. The accounts record income from burgess fees with the name of the new burgesses; rentals; road money etc. The Treasurers were Henry Burton, Archibald McIntyre, Nicol Cameron, Peter Nicol, William Bain, James Dunlop, William Wren, David Leckie, James Henderson, James Macdougall and Alexander Craig with some serving more than one term. Loose at the front of the volume are ten cancelled cheques drawn on the Commercial Bank of Scotland, Pollokshaws payable to James Macdougall, Burgh Treasurer.
