Scope and Content
First bundle was in original bindings and includes:
- reports by the Sanitary Inspector including common lodging houses, investigation of nuisances, removals to hospital and interments with cause of death; and reports on byres and dairies; report on scarlet fever epidemic
- Medical Officer of Health reports on births marriages and deaths and causes of death
- reports by the Burgh Surveyor on serving statutory notices, sewers, crossings and footpaths; on the traction engine; with the February report, a plan of drainage on Partickhill Road and correspondence on disputed statutory notices; report on Clarendon Street; and report on South Street, Whiteinch.
- note of extent of expenses of maintaining roads 1876-1877
- list of streets taken over by the Commissioners, statute labour and turnpike roads in their charge and private streets
Second bundle includes:
- criminal returns of the Partick Burgh Police for the year ending 31 December 1877
