• Scope and Content

  An inventory of the papers was made, circa 1905, and the documents were numbered in red ink. This order has been adhered to but the numbering has been changed for the new cataloguing database. The original numbers can be seen in the 'Previous Numbers' field. A number of items relate to the same topic but may not necessarily be numbered consecutively. According to the accession register an item was added to the original catalogue at H-PK29/291 (a letter of sympathy from the burgh on the death of Queen Victoria) but this has not been found

  The original numbers 209-222 were assigned to the letter books which are now at H-KPK3.
