Submitted to the Police Commissioners 2nd September 1895 and ordered to be printed. 2 copies, one inscribed Samuel Ellborn with original Public Health Department Library reference B3 and the other initialled JBR [James Burn Russell]. Russell's copy contains inserts: article 'Sanitary Evolution in Glasgow', The Lancet, Dec 14 1895; newspaper cutting reporting a meeting of the Burgh Commission, 1895; letter of congratulations on the book and requesting copies of acts from a colleague in Liege, Belgium; Glasgow death rates per million from pneumonia 1855-1894 and mean temperature and total rainfall for the same period.
