Scope and Content
Correspondence and papers relating to the 'watching' service provided by the HTA's legal representatives. This involves the monitoring of new trade mark applications and company names to check that they do not infringe on the Harris Tweed trade mark - for example by registering a clothing trade mark that is very similar in style, or a company name such as 'Harris Fabrics'. Those that were classed as infringements can mostly be found in GD014/3/2/5, though this subseries does also include examples. Some mentions of name and trade mark watching can also be found in GD014/3/2/1.
